From Stacey Redman
On Sept 17, 2004, our son, 21 year old Timothy Griffith was murdered in a senseless act of violence. He was leaving the SF Giants game with 4 friends and was stabbed to death outside SBC Park. Tim was a compassionate, caring and sensitive young man. He was the first to extend a hand to those in need. As a small boy of 5 years old he gave his $5.00 of Christmas shopping money to a homeless man on the street in San Francisco. I have received countless notes and letters from those whom Tim touched that speak to his generosity of spirit and heart.
In order to keep Tim’s memory and spirit close to us and perhaps to save another family the profound grief of a loss such as this we are establishing The Tim Griffith Memorial Foundation (TGMF). The mission of the Tim Griffith Memorial Foundation is to partner with public and private agencies to deliver support services and education without bias, to those affected by violence, addiction and personal hardship. For more information about the organizations benefitting from TGMF, please visit the Program Outreach pages on this site.

“Whenever you have doubts or sad thoughts just remember this is a small period of time and it’s kind of like climbing up a steep cliff to get to the beautiful waterfall…I promise everything will be okay” - Tim
