Volunteer of the Year
Each year TGMF recognizes an individual who helped advance the work of the foundation by volunteering their time, energy and expertise. These individuals inspire us all and remind us of the generosity of the human spirit.
2007 Award Recipient - Bob Harris
In 2007 Stacey Redman, President of TGMF, introduced the Nancy Harris Volunteer Award, and at the 2007 Fundraiser Stacey presented the award to Bob Harris, Nancy's husband, sharing this story: "Nancy came forward after Tim's death and encouraged me to form the foundation, hold a fundraiser, and offered her talent and her spirit to make it happen. This was a woman who reached out to a family in grief, someone she did not know, and quietly and kindly showed what being a volunteer really means. We lost Nancy Harris in 2007 to cancer, and to honor her spirit and keep her in our hearts we created the Nancy Harris Volunteer Award."
Our Mission
The mission of the Tim Griffith Memorial Foundation is to partner with public and private agencies to deliver support services and education, without bias, to those affected by violence, addiction and personal hardship.
We will be funding established charities that support our mission. If you know of a charity that would be appropriate for our consideration please contact us.
